Hot Off the Press: Cinder Lake Featured in Mountain Lakes

I’m thrilled to share some exciting news—my short story Cinder Lake has just been published in the newest anthology from Old Mountain Press, Mountain Lakes! 🌲📘

This delightful collection gathers poetry and prose inspired by mountains, water, and springtime. My contribution, Cinder Lake, is based on a real experience I had during a summer working for the U.S. Forest Service in Arizona. It’s a lighthearted glimpse into cross-cultural camaraderie, youthful discovery, and a lake that—spoiler alert—contains no water at all.
