A neighbor shared this earlier today: "As of 6 am…this is our current status. This is probably better for us - projected to go right over our house. It was projected to be west of us leaving us in the eastern bands, which is the worst. Crazy that it was a Cat-1 still that far into GA!"
Now, a couple of hours later, it's still raining steadily, and the wind is picking up. We've had a few other big storms brush us over the past few years, but this is the first one to have us in the crosshairs. But it's been downgraded to a tropical storm, and we are up high above the valleys, so we expect to be just fine, other than perhaps some tree damage. Fingers crossed for those in the lowlands.
